Mark Higgins’ Record Breaking Lap Of Isle Of Man

Subara has released footage of Mark Higgins' record setting lap completed just recently on the famous Isle of Man TT circuit. Higgins drove a 2015 WRX STI to this record feat.

Higgins completed the 37-mile long course in 19 minutes and 26 seconds at an average speed of 116.47 mph (187.44 km/h) during his first run, which was better than his previous record at Isle of Man which stood at 19 minutes and 56.7 seconds in a 2010 WRX STI.

However, he felt he could go still faster, and upon completion of his second lap, had set a time of 19 minutes and 15 seconds at an average speed of 117.51 mph (189.11 km/h).

This footage, especially with regard to the onboard camera shots, show how little the margin for error is on this notorious circuit famous for claiming lives of those trying to tame it. There is even a little flashback to the scary moment Higgins had during his previous record-breaking attempt in the 2010 car.
