Mahindra Sell 30800 Tractors in October 2014
One of India's biggest automaker, Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the Mahindra Group, kept its sales leadership position in the tractor industry during October 2014.
The company's domestic sales during October 2014 stood at 30,800 units, as to 37532 units during the same time last year.
The total tractor sales, which included domestic as well as international, during October 2014 was 31,907 units, compared to 38,263 units during the same period last year.
Number of exports for the month of October was at 1,107 units.
Commenting about the company's performance, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler Division, Mahindra said, "We have registered a sale of 30,800 units during October 2014. The delayed rains and sowing has led to a sluggish industry.
Our recently launched Arjun Novo tractor has been very well received in the market and we hope that this will help us drive sales in a challenging environment."
Mahindra, apart from being a dominant player in the passenger vehicle segment and commercial vehicle market, the company also has a strong presence in the agricultural sector, aerospace, components, consulting services, defence, energy, industrial equipment, logistics, real estate, retail and steel industries.
