Mahindra To Sell Cars In Algeria
Mahindra the Indian automobile giant has decided to export its cars to Algerian markets. They will first introduce two models in Algeria the Quanto and XUV500.
Mahindra recently showcased their two Algerian bound models at Salon International de l'Automobile d'Alger. The cars were displayed from 3rd to 6th of March, 2014. The cars received loads of appreciation from the Algerian public.
The Indian car/suv manufacturer believes their vehicles are prepared to tackle Algerian conditions. They will offer the same XUV500 in Algeria that we have. While Quanto will differ a lot from what we get here in India.
The Mahindra Quanto in Algeria will be a five seater variant. It will sport a 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel engine. The car will develop 120 horsepower and 280 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be offered with a 5-speed gearbox.
It will also get safety features like dual airbags and ABS. It will also get power assisted steering, air-con and electrically adjustable mirror.
XUV500 for Algeria will be the same that is offered in India. They will be packed with safety features like ABS, ESP and six airbags. It will also feature air-con, trip computer, radio CD, MP3 along with USB. It will also be offered in auto transmission and 4 wheel drive too.
