Mahindra Adventure Conquer 'Rally De Bengal 2014'
India's largest manufacturer and seller of utility vehicles, Mahindra is involved in several motorsport events. They compete in domestic as well as international competitions. They are popularly known for their participation in MotoGP and currently in Formula E.
In the domestic circuit Mahindra competes in Indian Rally Championship. The 2014 season is underway and the Indian manufacturer has prevailed in last four outings. They have conquered Rally of Maharashtra, Rally of Coimbatore, South India Rally and their latest victory comes in Rally De Bengal.
Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. commented, "This unprecedented victory by the Mahindra vehicles is a testimony to the tough and rugged 'Mahindra DNA'."
He further added, "Having won top positions in the first three rounds of the Indian Rally Championship, our win at the ‘Rally De Bengal 2014', has continued to keep us in the lead. Time and again our vehicles are proving their mettle against the competition and we will continue to do so during the rest of the upcoming IRC season this year."
Team Mahindra uses a Super XUV 500, which is driven by Gaurav Gill and his co-driver Musa Sherif. The team has shown its complete domination and have maintained their lead with relative ease. The Indian team have also won Desert Storm with Sunny Sidhu and co-driver PVS Murthy.
