British manufacturer of luxury SUVs Land Rover is currently owned by Indian automobile giant Tata Motors. They have today launched their latest variant of the Freelander 2 christened as ‘Sterling'. It is a limited edition model and will be available in limited numbers.
The Freelander 2 Sterling Edition by Land Rover has been launched at INR 44,41,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai. The limited edition SUV will get sporty exterior updates. This will further enhance the look of the sporty vehicle.
Rohit Suri, Vice President, Jaguar Land Rover India, commented, "We are excited to introduce the new Freelander 2 Sterling Edition. It will further endear the hugely popular model to our young and sophisticated customers looking to own an exclusive Land Rover with enhanced sporty looks."
The Sterling Edition has been launched to mark the fifth year of Land Rover in India. The SUV will be available only with a 2.2-litre, diesel mill. The engine will produce a decent 150 horsepower. The Limited Edition Freelander 2 will sport several exterior upgrades.
Land Rover's Freelander 2 Sterling Edition gets 17-inch five split alloy wheels with an anthracite finish. It also gets a dark atlas grille, fender and side vents. While the tailgate, spoiler, front and rear apron, lower door claddings and a single tail pipe gets a bright finish.
Currently Land Rover offers two models of the Freelander 2. The first is the SE variant priced at INR 43,25,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. While the HSE trim is priced at INR 48,50,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. The new limited edition Sterling model of Freelander 2 is priced at 44,41,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
