JBM To Invest In Auto Components
The JBM Group that is based out of Delhi has decided to invest in its auto components sector. They have a two year plan, which they believe will be adequate to increase their revenue per year from INR 7,000 crore to INR 10,000 crore. They plan to invest roughly INR 700 crore in their auto component sector.
JBM will also be scouting the globe for companies that they can acquire to benefit their cause. Their main focus will be on companies in America as well as Europe. They have recently set up two new facilities in Bangalore and Indore. The facility will commence work within the coming three months and has accounted for INR 200 crore so far.
Both the plants will manufacture various components. At the Bangalore facility they will manufacture components for Japanese two-wheeler giant, Honda, along with sheet metal components for other manufacturers too.
JBM's Indore facility will focus on manufacturing components like exhaust systems as well as chassis components. They will be used in trucks like Volvo, MAN and Eicher. So far they haven't disclosed their other plans and the use of the remainder INR 500 crore.
JBM also plans to launch its buses in the range of 6-metre to 18-metre, within the next five years. At the moment, they offer 12-metre long buses. Their plan is to extend and improve their range of buses in the next five years.
They build their buses with the help of their Italian partner BredaMenarinibus. They have joined business plans since 2013 and launched their first bus in February, 2014. The low floor bus has received over 100 bookings however, deliveries have not commenced yet.
