Japanese Cars Are The Most Reliable
In most countries the Japanese automobile giants have significant market shares. In India, Maruti Suzuki has dominated the four-wheeler segment by strategically launching customer-centric vehicles. The other Japanese car makers are not far behind in India and are catching up quickly.
In India almost every global manufacturer has a product to offer. Volkswagen, Skoda, Volvo, Audi, Mercedes, Chevrolet, Renault, Fiat and a few more are present. Usually the Japanese-badged automobiles are cheaper compared to the German or Italian based manufacturer, so based on that many believe the Japanese vehicles are not as reliable as other national brands.
A recent test in United Kingdom has proved that Japanese vehicles are most reliable. It was, however, a sad day for British manufacturers as they were awarded last place among the eight nations that participated. So if you have a Japanese badged vehicle, you can celebrate as your can remain with you for a long time.

The criteria was each car presented by a country had to have approximately 50,000 miles on the odometer. The vehicle had to be at least five years old or more. They then conducted a series of tests which, were based on testing the reliability of the vehicle and were awarded points accordingly. Scoring high points was not the objective, the car manufacturer with the lowest points would be the winner.
As we told you before United Kingdom scored the most points (209) and was in last place. Italian-made cars were next with 170.5 points amassed. Vehicles made in Germany were third last with 168 points while Sweden-manufactured cars scored 158 points and followed American built vehicles with 156 points.
The top three automobile manufacturers in the reliability test are the following. In third place is South Korean built cars with 123 points, which is still high. French manufactured came close in second place with 113 points. Finally the first place goes to the Japanese manufacturers, who managed to score double digit score and the lowest too at 80 points.
Now we admit German vehicles are built to last, however, not all German manufacturers follow the same standard and collectively they lost. Surprisingly, French-built vehicles were more reliable than German vehicles. Kudos to the Japanese manufacturers who truly deserve the title of being the most reliable automobile manufacturing nation.
