Jaguar Launch India Made XJ For INR 93,24,000
British Iconic motor vehicle manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover has been taken over by Tata Motors. As a result, they have been trying to shift the manufacturing facility in India. They had earlier launched their XJ in India, which was made domestically and sported a diesel mill.
Jaguar has now announced the launch of its new XJ petrol powered vehicle at an attractive price of INR 93,24,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai. This new car has been manufactured locally in India and maintains the same high standards of Jaguar.
The luxury car from Jaguar gets a 2.0-litre engine and is tuned to produce 237 horsepower. The engine has been fitted with a turbocharger and generates peak torque of 340 Nm. The four cylinder petrol powered mill gets an ARAI certified fuel efficiency figures of 9.4 kpl. The engine has been paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Jaguar XJ is an uber luxurious vehicle and will get several creature comforts. They will include massage seats, adjustable rear seats, LED reading lights, rear window blinds, soft door close and foldable tables.
The British marque has also provided an entertainment package for the occupants. An audio system from Meridian boasting of 825 Watts has been provided. The rear seat occupants get two LCD screens of 10.2-inches.
Jaguar has launched their XJ petrol in India at a highly competitive price. The current price difference between petrol and diesel has been diminishing and buyers could take to the new Jaguar. They had announced they were planning to manufacture Jaguar products in India at the recent Auto Expo.
The new base price for the Jaguar XJ now is INR 93,24,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai. At this price point it will compete aggressively with Audi A8, BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
