Isuzu Launch SUV And Pick Up Range In UP
Isuzu, the Japanese commercial vehicles and diesel engine manufacturing company, has inaugurated its first dealership in Uttar Pradesh, in Noida.
With the commercial vehicle segment being huge in India, Isuzu is trying to make their presence felt and root themselves firmly here.
Takashi Kikuchi, the Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India said, "This development marks our entry into the third largest economy of India which contributes to approximately 15 per cent of the total automobile sales in the country."
Along with the inauguration of its new showroom, the company also launched its SUV, the MU-7, priced at INR 19.99 lakh, and the D-MAX range of pick ups, starting at a price of INR 6.13 lakh (ex-showroom Noida).
Isuzu's target is to have 60 outlets across the country by the end of 2016. At the moment, the company has a presence in places like Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
The MU-7 SUV is powered by 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 163 PS at 3600 rpm and a max torque of 360 Nm through 1800-2800 rpm.
The D-MAX pick up range will be powered by 4-cylinder, common rail, turbo diesel engine that has a maximum power out put of 136 Ps at 3600 rpm and a torque delivery of 294 Nm through 1800-3200 rpm.
