India To Get All-New Honda Accord By 2015

Honda has made a comeback in the Indian market with its latest introduction of a diesel powerplant. Now the Japanese manufacturer is contemplating of getting its new version of Accord luxury sedan to India by 2015.

The Japanese car maker will maintain the key features of its Accord, which are spacious and comfortable interiors. The 2015 Accord will be shorter in dimension, however space within the cabin will be maintained.

Honda engineers will be giving the 2015 Accord not only a cosmetic uplift, it will also improve components under the metal exoskeleton. The Japanese will provide a stiffer and improved chassis and an electrically assisted power steering unit.

Honda India had witnessed tremendous growth, when it had launched its Accord. However, with India's economic slowdown and buyers trend shifting to more affordable and smaller sized vehicles, the Accord lost it lustre. The Japanese manufacturer has noticed the acceptance of luxury vehicles in India and believe 2015 will be ideal for its Accord to make a comeback.

2015 Honda Accord

Honda has been manufacturing the Accord since 1976 and continues to do so. The Japanese manufacturer has redesigned the body of Accord several times. In India the vehicle is sold as a luxury sedan by Honda, it has excellent cabin space and is luxurious too.

2015 Honda Accord: Front View

The 2015 Honda Accord sports a mature and classic look in the front. Chrome embellishment has been kept to a minimum. The headlamps will feature projector lights, along with LED Daytime Running Lights(DRLs). Foglamps will be repositioned and will be well incorporated into the redesigned front bumper.

2015 Honda Accord: Side View

The length of 2015 Honda Accord has been decreased, however, Honda engineers claim the cabin space will remain the same like previous generation models. Door handles of the vehicle get chrome treatment along with the door sills. From the side view, 2015 Honda Accord looks stylish and elegant.

2015 Honda Accord: Rear View

In the rear Honda have provided the tail lamps with LED. The boot of 2015 Accord gets redesigned and has an aerodynamic lip. Chrome embellishment ends with a strip just above the registration plate. The exhaust sports dual outlet giving it a sporty avatar. The rear bumper has been resculpted and gives it volume in the back.

2015 Honda Accord: Interiors

The interiors of 2015 Honda Accord looks simple and elegant. In India, the Japanese manufacturer could provide a black and aluminium brushed metal finish dashboard. The speedometer is clear and has large dials. The infotainment will sans touch screen feature.

2015 Honda Accord: Seating And Comfort

2015 Honda Accord will provide sufficient legroom for its back seat occupants, where most owners will spend most of their time. The seats will be luxurious and high on comfort. The Indian spec model is expected to get an air-conditioner vent for rear passengers too.

2015 Honda Accord: Engine Spec

Honda will power its 2015 Accord with a 2.4-litre petrol engine and will be capable of producing 177 horsepower. The Japanese manufacturer will also provide a diesel 1.6-litre engine, it is the same engine that is expected to power Honda's SUV the CR-V. Performance figures of the diesel powertrain have not been revealed.
