InCar Plus Introduced By ThyssenKrupp
An InCar plus project has been introduced by ThyssenKrupp AG. They have revealed the results of their project. The Essen based company has developed 40 new components and solutions in the automobile sector.
The solutions found will benefit customers as ThyssenKrupp components weigh less than 50% of the traditional component. While costs of the component is also reasonable and is 20% less. They have found innovative ways of constructing automotive components.
The InCar plus also makes a significant effort to protect the world's climate. Their innovative solutions save roughly eight grams of CO2 per kilometer. Looking at the overall life cycle of a car, including production and recycling. The InCar plus represents a saving of 1.6 tons of CO2 per vehicle.
Dr. Heinrich Hiesinger, ThyssenKrupp CEO, explains, "Business with the auto industry accounts for a quarter of our sales, almost ten billion euros. And the mobility sector will continue to grow in the long term."
Dr. Karsten Kroos, CEO of the Components Technology business area, commented, "As development cycles for new models become ever shorter, every month counts. The production readiness of our solutions gives our customers an important edge in terms of time and cost."
The InCar plus team will showcase their innovations to auto manufacturers of Europe, America as well as Asia. They have already received their first production order for an InCar plus innovation.
