Hyundai Sales Report March 2014; Sales Picks Up Post Price Cut
Hyundai Motor India, the country's second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter has steadied its ship as it is sailing through rough weather. Following the price drop post excise cut Hyundai sales has recovered slightly from the previous month.
The automaker sold 35,003 vehicles in India during March 2014 and exported another 16,705 units, with cumulative sales of 51,708 units. In comparison, Feb 2014 saw the company sell 34,005 units in the domestic market and export 12,500 units bringing cumulative sales to 46,505.

Even compared to the corresponding month last year sales of Hyundai Motor India has shown a growth of 3.4 percent, which is good sign considering the troubled phase the industry is going through.
Sales are expected to pickup in the coming months with the help of the newly launched Xcent compact sedan.
Commenting on the March sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, "Post the reduction of excise duty and with the strong performance in compact segment; Hyundai registered March sales of 35,003 units with a growth of 3.4% over corresponding month indicating a build-up of positive momentum."
