Hyundai Elite i20 Reaches Showrooms
Hyundai India will be launching its new and refreshed version of the i20. The South Korean automobile manufacturer will be re-christening its hatchback as the Elite i20. Now the vehicle has reached dealers across India and have also begun accepting bookings.
The Elite i20 is slated to launch on 11th of August, 2014. Hyundai have not confirmed details of its new vehicle that will replace the current generation of i20 sold in India. The South Korean manufacturer is expected to launch the vehicle aggressively.
The 2014 Elite i20 will compete with the recently launched Fiat Punto Evo and the Volkswagen Polo range. It will face competition from soon-to-launch vehicles like the 2014 Swift and Honda Jazz. All these vehicles have been priced aggressively and are a threat to expensive hatchbacks.

The 2014 Hyundai Elite i20 will offer the 1.2-litre petrol Kappa engine. It will produce a peak torque of 114 Nm , along with 82 horsepower. They will provide a more powerful petrol option in the form of a 1.4-litre engine which will produce 98 horsepower, along with 136 Nm of peak torque.
The South Korean manufacturer will also provide a diesel 1.4-litre. The engine will generate 88.7 horsepower along with 220 Nm of peak torque. Hyundai is expected to provide an optional automatic transmission along with the manual option.

The earlier version of Hyundai i20 was a huge hit among Indians. We will have to wait and see what the new Elite i20 can achieve. The hatchback will enter the market with more competition and well priced vehicles. Let us know what you think about the new Hyundai product?
