Hyundai Elite i20 Gathers 12,000 Bookings Since Launch
South Korean manufacturer Hyundai has recently launched its new and improved hatchback. The have re-christened it as Elite i20 and have given it a complete overhaul. The manufacturer has huge expectations from its new offering for India.
The Elite i20 has been launched in India at an affordable price of INR 4,90,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. Hyundai showrooms report to have received approximately 12,000 booking for their new premium hatchback in India, since its launch.
These are great figures for a vehicle that has just been launched recently. It will be interesting to see how fast can Hyundai provide its Elite i20 to their customers. The manufacturer had a realistic target, however, they must be pleased to have broken their booking target.

Hyundai offer their hatchback in both petrol as well as diesel options. The petrol powered Elite i20 gets a 1.2-litre engine, which produces 115 Nm of torque and 82 bhp of power. The diesel mill is a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine. It generates 89 bhp of maximum power, along with 220 Nm of peak torque.
The South Korean manufacturer is also expected to introduce an automatic option. The Elite i20 will be equipped with a 1.4-litre petrol engine mated to a 4-speed automatic. It will be capable of producing 136 Nm of peak torque, along with 98.6 horsepower.

The new and fresh Elite i20 gets Hyundai's new fluidic design philosophy. The exterior has been redesigned for an even luxurious hatchback. The interiors have also been revamped and is more spacious and premium, when compared to its predecessor.
