Honda Grows By An Impressive 123 Percent In February
Even as traditionally stable automakers such as Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai saw sales drop a little last month Honda continued its growth story by an amazing 123 percent.
Not surprisingly, driving the numbers for Honda is the all new City, along with the well established Amaze. Honda sold 14,543 units being sold during February out of which 7213 units were City and 6030 were Amaze. In comparison, during the corresponding month last year the total sales by Honda was just 6510 units.

Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President - Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "We are happy to see the huge demand for the all new Honda City which has gained the leadership position in its segment from the first month itself."
"The deliveries for the Petrol City have begun from February and with both our car manufacturing plants in operation, it will aid in quick delivery of cars and cater to the strong demand from our customers. The excise duty reduction announced during Interim budget last month has made all our cars even more attractively priced for our customers."
Taking sales between April 2013 and Feb 2014 into consideration, the automaker grew by a healthy 83 percent with 115,913 unit sales as against 63,439 units during the corresponding period year before.
Honda also sold 1235 Brio hatchbacks, 65 CRV SUVs and exported 252 four wheelers.
