Honda Mobilio MPV Launched In India By HCIL
The Japanese car manufacturer Honda, have officially entered the MPV segment with the launch of their stylish new Honda Mobilio. The prices start from INR 6,49,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Mobilio is powered by Honda's 1.5L i-DTEC diesel and 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engines which are very well known for their balance between power and best-in-class fuel economy.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine will produce 100 PS at 3600 rpm, delivering a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1,750 rpm. Tests have claimed that the diesel engine will have a fuel efficiency of 24.2 kpl.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine will produce 119 PS at 6600 rpm and has a peak torque of 145 Nm at 4600 rpm. Fuel efficiency stands at 17.3 kpl. Both the engines are mated to a standard 5-speed manual transmission.
For the younger crowd who look at styling as their primary focus, the Mobilio will be available in an stylish RS version. The RS variant will have a sportier exterior compared to the normal one, and will go on sale from September 2014.
The Mobilio RS comes with a sporty front and rear bumper, projector headlamps with LED position lamps, exclusive alloy wheel design, chrome grille, tailgate spoiler, side sill garnish, retractable ORVMs with turn indicators and chrome exterior door handles.
The Dual-Solid Motion exterior design concept gives the Mobilio a sporty stance, expressed by the front grille, spoiler and character line on the side.
The interior sees wide seats and three rows of seating. Once the seats are folded, the Mobilio has a storage capacity of 521 litres at the rear. The middle row is divided into 60:40 configuration. The Mobilio comes loaded with dual airbags for the front, and ABS and EBD as standard.
Available in seven different colours, there are three variants available in both petrol and diesel options. The RS version will be available only with a diesel engine.
