Honda Mobilio Launched In Bangalore

Honda Cars India Limited today launched its latest MPV, the Mobilio in Bangalore. Making its entry into the MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) segment, the vehicle is targeted to suit the needs of Indian families.

The Mobilio will be offered in petrol and diesel variants. Prices start from INR 6,83,000 for the basic petrol version upto INR 11,31,500 for the top of the line petrol. The diesel basic model will cost INR 8,25,400 and move up to INR 11,31,500 for the top end RS version.

The sporty looking RS version will be on sale from September this year and is available only with the diesel engine.

The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine produces 119 PS at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4600 rpm. Honda claim the petrol engine will deliver an economy of 17.3 kpl.

The 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine produces 100 PS at 3600 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. 24.2 kpl is the fuel economy claimed by Honda for their diesel engine.

Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.

The interior has three rows of seats and can accommodate 7 people. The 2nd row gets air conditioning vents and the cargo area is 223 litres, but with the last row folded, it can store upto 521 litres.

As per safety equipment, the Mobilio comes equipped with dual airbags for the front, Anti-Lock Brake System(ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution(EBD), pretensioner seat belts with load limiters and impact mitigating headrests. ABS and EBD are standard with the diesel variants.
