Honda Mobilio Launch Confirmed For 24th July, 2014
Honda India has confirmed with us that its MPV, the Mobilio will be launching on 24th July, 2014. The Japanese car maker had showcased its vehicle in India for the very first time at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. Since then they have been displaying their vehicle to Indians in malls and shopping complexes.
The Japanese car maker has also begun its online ad campaign for it Mobilio MPV. They have asked comedian Kapil Sharma to work with their vehicle. The Indian comedian has his own unique and quirky way, with which he explains the features of the new Mobilio MPV. We have the latest ad campaign of the MPV below.
Most Honda dealerships have begun taking order for the MPV and deliveries are expected to commence after the launch on 24th July, 2014. The pricing of the Mobilio has not been confirmed by the Japanese car maker. However, we expect it to be more expensive than Maruti Suzuki Ertiga but more affordable than Toyota's Innova.

Honda India will provide the MPV with petrol and diesel engine options. The Mobilio will sport the Japanese automobile giant's popular 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol powered engine. It will be capable of producing a maximum power of 117 bhp. The engine will be mated to an option of 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Honda India claims its Mobilio will return fuel efficiency figures of 18 kpl.
The diesel engine provided in Mobilio MPV will be the same seen in their City and Amaze. The MPV will sport the frugal 1.5-litre i-DTEC, diesel powered engine which will be tuned to produce a maximum power of 98 bhp. The Japanese car manufacturer's diesel claims to provide a healthy fuel economy of 26 kpl, which could change in real world conditions.
When launched on the 24th of July, 2014 Honda Mobilio will go up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia. The competition could heat up soon with the arrival of Datsun GO+ MPV for India and Renault's Lodgy, if it comes to India.
