Honda India Cease City Production
Japanese automobile giant Honda Cars India Limited(HCIL) has a great market in India and owners swear by their products. They have launched several successful models in the past. They had earlier in the year launched a new 'City'. However, the manufacturer is reporting it is stopping its manufacture.
Honda India will not manufacture a single City in the month of August, 2014. This is because they are shifting their production facility to its Tapukara facility in Alwar, Rajasthan. All new City vehicles will roll out from the Rajasthan facility, which can handle the demand of India's popular sedan.
Currently the Tapukara facility in manufacturing only the 'Amaze', since February, 2014. The facility has a capacity of 1,20,000 vehicles per year. The Japanese manufacturer currently runs a single shift and can increase that to meet the demands of its City model.

He further added, "We have received an overwhelming response to both the City and the Mobilio, and it is necessary to maximise production at both the plants for the benefit of the customer."
