Honda Amaze Crosses Sales Of 1 Lakh Units
The Honda Amaze has racked up 1 lakh sales in the country. The compact sedan from the Japanese carmaker has seen an overwhelming response from buyers in India, and has crossed the important milestone in a period of 16 months.
Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, "This is a very proud moment for us. Honda Amaze has witnessed great success in the Indian market and the 1 lakh sales milestone only validates its strong presence."

He continued, "Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to a whole new set of customers experiencing the joy of owning and driving a Honda car. Honda entered the diesel car segment with the Amaze and we would like to thank our customers for the confidence they have showed in us and their support that has enabled the brand to grow from strength to strength."
Customers have taken to the frugal engines from Honda in a big way - the relatively new 1.5-litre, i-DTEC and the 1.2-litre i-VTEC motors have earned a reputation for being extremely fuel efficient, something imperative to the Indian customer.
Honda's impressive portfolio now includes the Mobilio, the new City, the Brio, and the Amaze, with all cars except the Brio dominating sales in their respective segments. Honda is currently on the move, and it will be interesting to see how long this success can be sustained.
