BMW To Debut M2 At 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show
German luxury car manufacturer BMW builds power packed vehicles and they are denoted by their M badge. They will soon be launching their M4 and M6 vehicles in India on 26th November, 2014.
BMW is also expected to showcase their new M2 at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will not be available to customers prior to 2016. The German manufacturer prefers to launch their M vehicle in their home motor show.
It is being rumoured that BMW will power their M2 with a power packed engine. Under the bonnet will be a straight-six, 3.0-litre turbocharged engine. It is expected that this engine will produce in excess of 364.7 bhp. The engine will be similar to that seen on the M135i and M235i.
The German manufacturer is expected to provide a manual transmission. It will surely be offered with an automatic transmission as well, as it is mandatory. BMW is also expected to provide the M2 with an all-wheel xDrive option.
It is unclear if this vehicle will come to India, however, we believe it might just be introduced for bragging rights. The major deterrent in getting M2 to India is the exuberant duties and taxes levied by the government on these vehicles.
The M2 is rightfully being called BMW's baby M, however, it will have a mammoth sized engine powering it. If launched in India we believe this will be the most sought after vehicle in a while. It may not be the most ideal car to drive in our road conditions, however, that 3.0-litre, straight six engine will surely be a treat.
