BMW Gift Marc Marquez An Exclusive M4 Coupe
Marc Marquez is the youngest ever double World Champion in MotoGP history. The Spaniard has achieved this feat with a strong package developed by his team Repsol Honda. He has broken several records this year and is expected to dominate the coming season as well.
The 21 year old MotoGP rider has also won for a second time the coveted BMW M Award. German luxury car manufacturer will be gifting the Spanish rider with an exclusive BMW M4 Coupe. It was presented by Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, along with Thomas Schemera, Director of Sales and Marketing BMW M GmbH.
Marc Marquez, double MotoGP Champion, expressed, "Knowing the prize is there at the end of the year gives you special motivation when going for pole on Saturday. This year even more so, because I really like this BMW M4 Coupe. I am happy to receive this car and, of course, I will enjoy it."
The Spaniard received a ‘Frozen Red Metallic' BMW M4 Coupe. The interior of this coupe gets a ‘Merino Opal White' fine grain full leather, along with ‘Ash Grain White' wood trim for a luxurious experience. The German manufacturer has added several special features to the vehicle as well.
BMW M4 Coupe will be powered by an inline 6-cylinder, TwinPower Turbo engine. It will be capable of producing a maximum of 431 bhp, along with 550 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired to a M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic. BMW will also provide M carbon ceramic brakes and adaptive M running gear.
Thomas Schemera, Director of Sales and Marketing BMW M GmbH, said, "Last year he came through as a rookie to defeat his more experienced opponents. In 2014 he raised the bar again with 13 pole positions. It was breath-taking to see how Marc went from one success to the next this year."
