BMW 1 Series M Performance Edition Launched In India

BMW India has launched its 1 Series M Performance Edition, which will be surprisingly available in both petrol and diesel options. The German manufacturer had begun promoting the performance variant of its 1 Series from the month of July.

The German manufacturer is on a roll of launching products and is increasing its product offering in India. The 1 Series M Performance Edition will be available in metallic colours like Black Sapphire, Deep Sea Blue, Glacier Silver, Midnight Blue, Mineral Grey and Valencia Orange.

BMW India will also offer two non metallic paint schemes called Alpine White and Crimson Red. The Performance package will include special exterior, aerodynamic package and M Performance accessories. These will be the key highlights of 1 Series M Performance Edition vehicle.

On the mechanical end, BMW India will not be changing anything. It will provide the same engine that sits within the standard variant. It is more of a special edition with the M badge to provide a more exclusive and sporty outlook. It will also get racing stripes and rear spoiler with fins adding sporty elements to the 1 Series.

The interiors of 1 Series M Performance Edition gets sporty red accents across the cabin. The German manufacturer will also provide sport seats, leather steering wheel with red stitching, electric glass roof and red highlights for the speedometer. BMW India will offer all these features as standard in its special edition vehicle.

BMW plans to sell four variants a 116i M Performance Edition at INR 22,65,000. In diesel there will be three options a 118d M Performance Edition at INR 25,60,000. Along with, 118d Sport M Performance Edition at INR 28,55,000 and a 118d Sport Plus M Performance Edition at INR 32,50,000 (all India ex-showroom prices).
