British luxury car manufacturer Bentley had recently showcased its premium SUV, which will be launched soon. Today they have unveiled their Grand Convertible, it will be be officially unveiled at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The show commences on 19th November and Bentley's Mulsanne Speed will also be present.
The Grand Convertible is pure British in every sense, it is luxurious and sophisticated. It has been completely hand designed by Bentley's skilled workers. The manufacturer claims their vehicle to be most luxurious convertible to date.
Wolfgang Durheimer, Bentley Chairman and CEO, expressed, "This concept demonstrates Bentley's ability to create a pinnacle convertible Grand Tourer, while embodying elegance beyond compare. With this car we combine the opulent Mulsanne experience with the full sensory indulgence of open-air touring."
He further added, "Continuing to unite luxury and performance in new ways. We are eagerly awaiting the response of our customers to this car. We will ensure that this car - if it reaches the roads - will be a highly exclusive, extremely limited collector's piece."
Under the hood of Bentley's convertible is a 6 3/4-litre twin-turbo, V8 engine. It will be capable of producing a maximum power output of 530 bhp, along with 1,100 Nm of peak torque. The transmission for this engine has not been revealed yet.
Bentley designers have given their Grand Convertible an electric blue paint scheme. They have matched it with creme white leather upholstery, along with an exquisite wooden panel. The British luxury car maker explains they had to use 14 different leather materials to get their desired texture.
The Grand Convertible by Bentley will be showcased on 19th November, 2014 at Los Angeles Auto Show. It will then be showcased in Miami at Art Basel. It is the world's premier international art show for modern and contemporary work.
