Audi Plans To Launch 10 New Models Next Year To Maintain Top Spot
German automobile manufacturer Audi, has plans of launching 10 new models in 2015, to maintain its crown as the leader in the luxury car segment in India.
Audi faces a stiff competition in India by fellow German manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
In spite of fierce competition in this segment, Audi India is sure of double-digit growth this year.
In November this year, Audi had already recorded 10,000 units sales. The company sold 10,003 cars in 2013.
The company recently launched the A3 Cabriolet, a model with a retractable soft top and powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine, priced at INR 44.75 lakh.
Audi, which currently sells 17 models in India, is planning to launch the R8 LMX and the Audi TT next year. These two models will be part of Audi's 10 car launch plan in India.
Audi is looking to bring in more cars to India from its global lineup, which includes a hatchback as well.
Although Audi is at the throne of luxury car sales in India, fellow German carmaker Mercedes-Benz is narrowing in on the gap at a rapid phase.
Mercedes is also very likely to cross the 10,000 car sales mark this year.
