Audi Creates Record Sales In March 2014
The luxury car makers in India have recorded an increase in sales figures. Though the slowdown in automobile sales generally. Most of the automobile giants suffered losses; however, Audi has recorded amazing sales in March 2014,
Audi sold a record 170,450 vehicles around the world in March itself. This is an increase of 15.4% in sales over the last year. This marks the 51st month in a row Audi has reported growth in sales.
Audi increased their sales in China by 36.6%, While Germany and UK witnessed an increase of 10.2% and 12.7% respectively. On the whole Audi recorded an overall growth of 11.7% in the first Quarter.
This is the first time in the Four Rings history that they recorded sales of over 400,000 units in a span of three months.
Luca de Meo, Member of the Board of Management for Sales at Audi AG, explains,"In March we achieved a double best figure, completing the most successful first quarter in our company history with the strongest sales month ever."
He further added, "With new models like the A3 Sedan the internationalization of our business is gaining momentum. In the first quarter we achieved substantial growth in all regions around the world and grew more strongly than the market in Europe."
The A5 Cabriolet increased it sales by 8.3%, while the TT Roadster recorded an increase of 22.6%. The convertibles from Audi were a major factor to the sudden growth.
Audi's best selling cars were their Q7 and A8, which recorded tremendous growth of 39% and 49% respectively. It is a great achievement keeping in mind the slowdown in automobile sales. Audi has managed to improve their sales as well as creating a record of selling over 400,000 vehicles to its loyal customers.
