Audi A3 Sedan Prices To Start At INR 26 Lakh
Premium German automaker Audi will launch the A3 sedan in India in August, at a starting price of around INR 26 lakh, according to Zigwheels. The latest offering from the Audi stables will be locally assembled and their most affordable car.
To keep prices down, the base variant will come without now-typical Audi features like LED headlamps and leather interiors. The top variant will however feature alloy wheels, leather interiors and other premium features that will reflect Audi's characteristic luxury.
Production of the A3 sedan will commence this month with deliveries expected to begin soon after the launch of the car in August. The sleek, compact Audi will feature two engine options: a 1.8-litre TFSI petrol engine producing 180 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre diesel motor producing 152 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.

Great news for driving enthusiasts is that the Audi will feature a 6-speed manual transmission as an option, in addition to an S-tronic dual clutch automatic transmission. Competitors to the A3 sedan will be the Mercedes CLA, Mercedes A-Class and B-Class, and the BMW 1 Series. It's certainly got the looks and the performance to compete with the stylish Mercs though.
Audi will be pinning big hopes to their smallest sedan - it remains to be seen how well the car will fare against its rivals.
