MINI Countryman Launching At New York Auto Show
MINI will be launching their all new Countryman for 2015. The launch is scheduled for 16th of April, 2014 at New York Auto Show.
The 2015 Countryman will be based upon the 2013 model itself, it won't have many changes just minor upgrades. MINI ha confirmed the new Countryman will be revealed at the upcoming Auto Show in New York.
MINI will introduce a few tweaks to extract more performance out of their new Countryman. The exterior will not receive too many changes; however, it is expected to borrow certain features from the Cooper Hardtop.
MINI has also confirmed that the 2015 Countryman will get most of the high-tech gadgetry available in the Cooper Hardtop. It will definitely have the MINI Connected entertainment console, a heads-up display and electronic driver aids.
MINI will introduce an all new 3-cylinder along with an optional 4-cylinder engine for the 2015 Countryman.
The Countryman will be manufactured beside BMW's X1 crossover. They will share the German's UKL platform, to lower their production costs.
MINI will introduce an all new Countryman in 2016/2017. The 2015 model will be just an upgraded version of the car currently on sale. However, the 2016 model will go into production in 2016 or 2017, which would take some time for sure.
Performance figure and interior details will be available post the launch on 16th of April.
MINI is a British automobile brand; however, German BMW has bought the British icon and currently owns it. MINI specialises in creating small cars with superior performance and reliability.
