Nissan Sunny For Just INR 5.79 Lakhs
The Nissan Sunny's entry level petrol variant is the XL which normally retails for INR 5.95 lakhs. However, Nissan has reduced the price of its best selling car for a short duration.
The Nissan Sunny has been appreciated for its affordable price. It is available in both petrol (three variants)and diesel (2 variants). While the petrol variant gets a 1.5-litre four cylinder engine, the diesel variants are powered by Renault's K9K diesel engine which delivers consistent performance.
The Sunny's petrol engine can deliver a peak power of 99bhp and 134Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five speed manual gearbox. The Sunny's petrol variant has a ARAI certified mileage of 16.95kmpl.
Looking in to the diesel variant of the Sunny, the K9K four cylinder engine develops 86bhp and 200Nm of torque. Nissan has claimed an ARAI certified mileage of 21.64kmpl for the Sunny diesel.
The Sunny competes against the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta etc. The reason behind the Sunny being so popular is the fact that it is equipped with premium features such as power steering, driver side air bags, ABS along with EBD and air conditioning, all at an affordable price.
