Mercedes B-Class Diesel India Launch Tomorrow
The B-Class is offered in India as a completely built unit, but the hatchback, which Mercedes markets as a sports tourer, has still managed to do well in our country. However, the B-Class range has one crucial shortcoming. The model is not offered with a diesel engine option as of now, even as the A-Class was launched late in May, in both petrol and diesel variants.
However, we do not have to wait long now as the launch of the Merc B-Class diesel is right around around the corner. The B-Class variant to be launched tomorrow will be called B180 CDI and will be powered by a 2.2 liter diesel engine. For a relatively large engine it delivers a tame 107 HP and 250 Nm and will be mated to a 7 speed dual clutch transmission.
