Mercedes Luxury Touring Trail With Abhay & Aditi

Mercedes Benz has brought out the less expensive B-Class hatchback for the Indian market. The B-Class diesel, the B180 CDI as its called, is priced at INR 22.6 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The hatch was launched in Mumbai yesterday at an event graced by Bollywood actors Abhay Deol and Aditi Rao Hydari, along with Mercedes Benz India CEO Eberhard Kern.

As part of its promotional campaign Mercedes also announced Luxury Touring Trail campaign through which winners will get a chance to travel with Abhay Deol and Aditi rao Hydari. Here are a few images from Mumbai launch event along with a few essential details you may want to know about the new diesel hatchback with the three pointed stars logo.

Participants of Luxury Touring Trail Campaign need to test drive the B180 CDI and upload pictures shot with the car on readytob.in. Winners will get to tour in exotic destination with Abhay Deol and Aditi Rao. The winner will also get to drive around in a B180 CDI for an year.

B180 CDI is powered by the 2.2-liter four cylinder engine (the same unit that powers the A180 CDI). The engine provides 109 HP at 3,200rpm and 250 Nm of torque from 1,400-2,800rpm.

A 7-speed, 7G-DCT, Dual Clutch gearbox with paddle shift transmits power to the front wheels. The hatch has a top speed of 190 km/h.

Mercedes Benz B Class diesel will be available in Jupiter Red, Cirrus White, Polar Silver, Monolith Grey colours.

Unlike the A Class, the B180 CDI will only be offered in Style trim. Hence, premium features such as panoramic sunroof and 17 inch alloy wheels will go missing. 16in alloys are provided as standard.

The Central Infotainment Controller is on the centre console and the colour display features a 14.7 cm screen.
