Mahindra Scorpio EX Recall Issued As Precautionary Measure
Mahindra has issued a voluntary recall for its Scorpio SUV. The recall affects 900 units of the SUV and only the EX variant.

According to Mahindra's official statement the recalled Scorpio EX SUVs will have their potentially faulty pressure regulating valves replaced. These are SUVs which were manufactured between October and November 2013.

Mahindra says this is only a preventive replacement and affected vehicle owners will be contacted by the company and will have the component replaced at no extra cost.
Pressure regulator valves are part of the fuel injection system which play a part in determining the how much fuel is fed at any point in time to the engine cylinders.
Mahindra Scorpio EX is the entry level variant of the SUV and is powered by a 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder, common rail diesel engine that outputs 75 BHP. The BS4 engine variant of the Scorpio EX costs INR 8,08,572, ex-showroom, Delhi.
