Hyundai Motor Brazil has introduced a new entry level sedan for the South American country - HB20S. The new sedan is a locally built car, with which the South Korean automaker aims to get an extra share in the growing automobile market of the country.
The HB20S is the third vehicle in the HB20 lineup, which Hyundai introduced specifically for the Brazil last year. HB in fact stands for Hyundai Brazil. The first vehicle, the HB20, launched last year, is a hatchback, which has several design features that suits the driving conditions of the country and buyer preferences. The new HB20S sedan will also share the HB20's region specific features and will also be powered by the same 80 HP 1.0 liter Kappa Flex-fuel engine. In addition, the sedan will also get a more powerful, 128 HP, 1.6 liter ‘Gamma' petrol engine. Transmission options provided will be a 5 speed manual and a 4 speed automatic unit.
Despite being an entry level sedan the HB20S is larger than a compact sedan, with dimensions of 4200 mm (length) X 1700 mm (width) X 1500 mm (height). The HB20S will have a wheelbase of 2500 mm, with a boot capacity of 450 liters.
The Hyundai HB20S has a starting price of 40,400 Brazilian Real, which is about INR 10.95 lakhs.
