Bugatti Super Veyron Just A Rumor, But A 'Replacement' Is Planned
If you are enamoured by the Bugatti Veyron like many others you would have closely followed every rumour, minor or major (which keep appearing on a regular basis) about the future of the Veyron, the Guinness record holder of the world's fastest production car title.
A favourite amongst rumour mill is the Super Veyron, a supposed successor to the Veyron that is said to come with a godly 1600 HP and an ungodly 0-100 km/h sprint time of 1.8 seconds! It sounds too good to be true and that is the case, as has been confirmed by Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, President of Bugatti.
Dr. Schreiber, speaking exclusive to Autoblog, put to rest all rumors. No Super Veyron is planned nor will it ever be built. But all is not lost. Production of Veyrons is limited to 450 units and 390 units have so far been claimed by people around the world. The remaining 60 units are expected to leave Bugatti's facility by the year 2015.
After the production of the Veyron ends, Schreiber says, a ‘replacement' - not a ‘successor' because it makes the Veyron sound inferior which it is not - will be developed. That just sounds like more fodder for rumour mills.
