The Fiat Linea saloon, launched in India about eight years back, has not received any updates, which is unusual and unacceptable, considering the car has already received an update in international markets where it's sold.
In any case, the Italian automaker will be launching the facelifted version of the Linea in India in 2014, with the reveal scheduled for the Auto Expo which will take place in February.
Exact details of the new Fiat Linea facelift has not been revealed yet, but a look at the updated international Linea and facts gathered from other reports suggest the new Linea will come with an entirely new fascia, made up of a new front grille, redesigned front bumper and airdam and new fog lamp cluster.
Towards the rear minor changes, including shifting of the license plate from the lower bumper to the boot lid are likely to be seen. Lastly, the exterior will sport plenty of chrome.
The interior changes are still sketchy, but it is rumored to feature a more premium feel than the existing car., with a redesigned dashboard.
Details about the engine that might be made available in India are not known yet.
It is likely Fiat will continue selling the existing model as the Linea Classic, with features stripped off, alongside the 2014 Linea. In the next three years, Fiat 8 new model launches planned, including the Abarth hatchback.
