Thai Parents Name Sextuplets After Car Brands

You might be surprised by the headline. Well, what we have said is true. A Thai couple have reportedly named their children after favourite car brands in the world - Audi, Fortune (Toyota Fortuner), Porsche, Mini, Volkswagen and Fiat.

The sextuplets are the first born in Thailand and they are three girls and three boys. The children are two months old and the parents had declined to show the infants in public till now.

Thai people have a tradition of giving pet names to children in addition to the names recorded on birth certificates and these names are called out by family and friends through out life. It is for the pet names, the couple have chosen their favourite car brands.

Interestingly, all are the names of car brands except for Toyota Fortuner. We guess they are too fond of the Fortuner SUV!
