Mitsubishi Cedia Select Launched at 8.9 Lakhs
The new Cedia Selects's Android tablet is portable and can be mounted on the windscreen in the front or oon the seats headrest for the purpose of the rear passenger. The Cedia Select 2012 also gets a Kenwood DVD player equipped with a 6.1 inch touchscreen interface.
Mitsubishi India has definitely loaded its latest offering with features. The new Cedia Select 2012 also comes with a reverse parking camera, tilt adjustable steering, keyless entry, power windows, adjustable front seat with power assist, twin airbags, ABS and EBD. The new Cedia's interiors have been equipped with a leather wrapped three spoke steering and leather seats.
The Cedia is available only with a petrol engine. The two litre four cylinder engine can churn out peak power of 113bhp and 175Nm of torque. The naturally aspirated engine is expected to be appreciated by driving enthusiasts for its peppy performance. It is paired with a five speed manual gear box. The Cedia Select 2012 also excels with its handling.
The new Mitsubishi Cedia Select costs about Rs.90,000 more than the fully loaded Cedia. Mitsubishi India had drastically cut the Cedia's price to Rs.7.99 lakhs making it an attractive buy. The new Cedia's variant should continue to be attractive thanks to its extensive feature list.
The Cedia is not expected to pose a serious challenge to other mid size sedans primarily because it does not have a diesel engine. More over Mitsubishi India does not have a huge dealer network to push sales. However, the Cedia Select 2012 can impress people who love petrol cars and like and engaging drive.
