Mahindra Quanto Launched At Rs.5.82 Lakhs

Mahindra has launched its first compact SUV, the Quanto with a starting price of Rs.5.82 Lakhs. The Quanto, which was previously called as the mini Xylo carries forward much of the design elements from the car that it is based on.

Mahindra's SUV line-up now has another best seller in the form of the Quanto. Aimed at the regular city driver who likes to go off-roading once in a while the Quanto will be game on the road and off it too. The Quanto offers comfortable space for five adults.

The new Mahindra Quanto is powered by a 1.5-litre three cylinder twin turbocharged diesel engine that generates close to 100bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five speed manual gearbox. Mahindra has claimed the Quanto's mileage is 17.21kmpl, which is quite impressive for an SUV. With such a mileage, The Quanto can run for as much as 900 kilometres on one full tank.

The Mahindra Quanto is available in four variants - C2, C4, C6 and C8. The top end C* is equipped with safety features such as ABS, two airbags and Revers Park Assist. The Quanto will hit showrooms with six colour options - Fiery Black, Java Brown, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Diamond White and Rocky Beige.
