Lamborghini's Cheapest Car - Urus To Cost Rs 1.1cr
Excited! We are talking about the Lamborghini Urus SUV. The Italian carmaker which produces some of the best exotic sports cars in the world had showcased the SUV at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year.
The
Urus
SUV
which
had
received
great
applause
from
auto
enthusiasts
is
still
in
concept
stage
and
far
away
from
production
reality.
However,
latest
reports
are
that
the
car
will
debut
in
2016
and
carry
a
price
tag
of
£135,000
(approx
Rs
1.1
Crore)
thereby,
making
it
the
cheapest
Lamborghini
car
on
sale.
Though,
the
price
could
be
around
Rs
2
crore
in
India
when
launched.
Currently, the carmaker sells two models - Gallardo and Aventador which are priced at Rs 2 and 3.7 crore respectively in India. Meanwhile, sports car makers have been turning to SUVs recently with the Porsche Cayenne being best example. Premium British carmaker Aston Martin is also looking to enter the premium SUV race in a few years with the Lagonda.
Coming back to the Urus, sources say the SUV will be powered by a healthy 4.0 litre V8 motor that produces a max. power output of 600 bhp and a max. torque figure of 480 lb ft. Lamborghini is expecting to sell 3,000 units of the Urus annually. The Urus will be taking on the likes of BMW X6, Porsche Cayenne etc when launched.
