The Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre IVTEC engine that delivers peak power of 91PS. The Honda Amaze's mileage is an impressive 20kmpl.
While Indian auto enthusiasts are waiting to have a go at the Brio Amaze, the regular car buyer is more keen on the Honda Amaze diesel.
The Amaze diesel will be Honda's first diesel car from Honda in India once it is launched in 2013.
Honda Amaze diesel will be powered by a 1.5-litre IDTEC diesel engine developed under Honda's Earth Dreams technology. The same technology has been used to develop diesel engines for the Civic and CRV that were recently launched in Europe.
The Honda Amaze will be a sub-4 meter sedan in India which will mean it will attract lesser excice tax and hence will be priced low.
For now our concentration is on the 4 cylinder 1.5 liter diesel engine and it is believed the engine is capable of churning out 100 horsepower and close to 210 NM of torque. From the mileage front, the Amaze is expected to return 22-24 kilometers per liter.
