Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Vs Hyundai Creta: A Worth Battle
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross was a very anticipated launch for the company as well as for many customers. Maruti, in fact, had to rework its sales strategy to sell its premium cars in India since the brand was pictured in a different way.
Hyundai on the other hand entered this segment with a compact SUV—the Creta. This newly launched model managed to receive 10,000 bookings before the launch itself and also made it to the top 10 selling utility vehicle list.
So when these two are compared, which will prove to be a better buy? The segment leader at the moment is the vehicle that began this whole competition—the Ford EcoSport!
Let's take a detailed look at what these two vehicles have to offer and where your money fetches better value.

Mileage:
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross delivers fuel economy of 23.65 kpl with the 1.3-litre option and the 1.6-litre will return 22.07 kpl.
The Hyundai Creta delivers 21 kpl from the 1.6-litre diesel, 20 kpl from the the 1.4-litre diesel and 15 kpl from the petrol engine.
Safety:
The S-Cross has safety features like ABS and airbags while the Creta offers side and curtain airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, hill start assist and Vehicle Stability Management.
Verdict:
The S-Cross is certainly a good attempt by Maruti Suzuki to offer a premium crossover to the Indian market, but the Hyundai Creta edges over the S-Cross marginally with its design, performance, features and the automatic transmission option. So where is your money worth better value? It definitely seems to lean toward the Hyundai Creta at this moment.
