Engine & Gearbox of the Maruti Ignis vs Swift
The Maruti Ignis is expected to be powered by the same engine as the Swift. It will come with 1.3.-litre diesel engine powered by 74bhp and 190Nm of torque and mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
As for the petrol, the 1.2-litre engine which will churn out 83bhp and 115Nm of peak torque, the petrol engine will be mated with a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox.
The above spec is the same as the Maruti Swift, except that both these vehicles are of different body style and driving them will be of different experience, expecting the Ignis to take the better performance of the engine.

The Maruti Swift cannot be ruled out as it is a genuine sporty looking car and not a crossover which is a mix of two types of vehicles. The Swift has a youthful feel and brings out the energy in you.
