Maruti Suzuki Ignis vs Mahindra KUV100 - Design
Maruti has ditched the flowing lines to settle with an old-school boxy design. The design has been well carried, because the Ignis features a retro look, but with a modern touch. The Ignis is built on a new platform which is 30 percent stiffer and 15 percent lighter.
The Mahindra KUV100 on the other hand is a complete opposite. The KUV has flowing lines and borrows its design from the XUV500, which is either a love it or hate first impression. The KUV is built on a monocoque chassis and received plastic cladding all around that appeals more towards the crossover styling.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis vs Mahindra KUV100 - Engine Specification & Gearbox
Both crossovers come with a choice of either a petrol or a diesel engine. The Maruti Ignis could recieve the same engine options as the Swift hatchback, but possibly tuned differently. The KUV is the only Mahindra with a petrol engine at the moment. Both, the petrol and diesel engines are three cylinder mills for Mahindra.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis vs Mahindra KUV100 - Verdict
At the moment, since Mahindra is the only vehicle available, the answer as to what to buy is easy - the KUV100. The Maruti Ignis seems very promising, especially in terms of design, but being a sold through Nexa dealerships could be a drawback since the outlets have received a lot negative feedback from customers.
If Maruti is able to come up with the same magic as it did for the brezza, the Ignis could very well leap ahead of the KUV in terms of sale.
