Yamaha Motobot—The Future Of Motorcycling?
The 2015 Tokyo Motor Show is all about new technology related to automobiles and that is the place where one would find something like the Yamaha Motobot-Yamaha's robot that can ride superbikes.
The robot can twist the throttle like how a normal human being would, and so can it pull the clutch and change gears. This initial model Yamaha Motobot is designed to ride slowly, but proves that it is only going to be a matter of time until we see robots riding at a much higher pace in racetracks.

The Yamaha robot needs balance wheels at the moment to corner the motorcycle and help it start off the line from standstill. But that doesn't mean that these issues cannot be sorted overtime.
One thing to keep in mind is that although the robot technology looks like the future of MotoGP, or any major motorcycle league race, Yamaha intends to use it to test the safety of motorcycles and riders. The Yamaha Motobot can be used under extreme condition, in which humans may encounter danger.
Robots such as these can also be helpful to stop high speed car chases, which might be very risky for human beings to be part of.
Here is a video of the Yamaha Motobot to show how far technology has evolved:
