2016 Paris Motor Show: Maserati Unveils Updated Ghibli & Quattroporte Saloons
Maserati has unveiled an upgraded Ghibli and Quattroporte saloons with new power outputs at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The company has added the 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 mill which is available on both the cars has now been tuned to churn out 350bhp an increase of 20bhp.
The Maserati Quattroporte gets a new top speed of 270km/h and can sprint to 100km in 5.5 seconds. Same goes with the Ghibli, with a top speed of 267km/h based on the new tuning of the powertrain. Both the saloons have been restyled and it comes equipped with new features.
On the technical front, Maserati provided much-needed changes, a new package of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is available on the upgraded versions of the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte.
As for the driver assistance and safety features, it includes Adaptive Cruise Control with 'stop and go' function, Blind Spot Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist, and Automated Emergency Braking.
On the inside, the new vehicles are seen with restyled dashboard that uses an 8.4-inch infotainment system with multi-touch and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Maserati has worked on the noise reduction in the cabin and has made it much quieter than the outgoing model.
There are two optional packages available on the Ghibli, called Luxury and Sport. The luxury version makes the interiors feel upmarket with the upgraded leather, the sports version comes with the performance oriented seats, carbon fibre, and a new steering wheel.
