Jaguar Land Rover Takes Centre Stage In Paris With World Record & Reveals
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) took the spotlight at the 2016 Paris Motor Show with a world record, world premiere, and its foray into Formula E. The spectacular premiere of the new Land Rover Discovery to the world record of the 5.8 million LEGO bricks built 13-metre high tower bridge model, JLR was impressive with its participation at the motor show.
The headline act was the new Land Rover Discovery in Paris, the SUV was unveiled alongside the world record breaking 3.8 million LEGO bricks model of London's Tower Bridge. The new Discovery with its 7-seater layout is an all-terrain capability SUV with a revolutionary design.
Along with the world record and the reveal, was the announcement of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake which is set to join the family in 2017. The XF Sportbrake is an evolution of the XF Saloon family with its distinct estate design equipped with wide range of advanced driver technologies.
The company showcased it advanced Jaguar I-Type 1 on its stand in Paris, giving its commitment to innovative technology both on and off track in the motoring world.
The Jaguar I-Type will be the first ever electric racing car from the carmaker. The I-Type will debut at the third season of the FIA Formula E as Panasonic Jaguar Racing and will race in October 2016.
To add star power to the event was Hollywood Star Nicholas Hoult who drove the Jaguar XF AWD into the Paris Motor Show stand. Nicholas Hoult is the second brand ambassador to tackle the ‘Smart Cone challenge' after Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean set the score to be beaten.
The challenge is part of Jaguar's Art of Performance Tour to showcase the Jaguar XF AWD being put through its paces on a unique low-grip course.
