2017 New York Auto Show: Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo All-Black Edition Revealed
Along with the dark trim, the Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo Edition come with blind spot assist, front and rear parking sensors, and remote start.
Maserati has unveiled the Ghibli Nerissimo All-Black Edition at the 2017 New York Auto Show, of which only 450 will be produced.
The Italian carmaker has turned to the dark side with its latest special edition, and as its name suggests (Nerissimo means "extremely black" in Italian). The special edition Maserati Ghibli will be offered as the Ghibli, Ghibli S and Ghibli S Q4 versions.
The Nerissimo Edition includes black trim for the door handles, window trim, and grille. Additionally, it'll also include a set of 20-inch black wheels.
Red brake callipers will break up the monotoned exterior appearance. Maserati doesn't restrict the body colour choices, but a dark shade seems like the natural choice for stressing the upgrades.
The cabin is likewise dark, including extended black leather with red stitching on the sport seats and steering wheel. A special badge symbolises to passengers this Ghibli Edition is part of a limited run of 450 vehicles.
Along with the dark trim, the Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo Edition come with blind spot assist, front and rear parking sensors, and remote start. The Ghibli S and S Q4 versions will also have a Harman Kardon stereo.
Regarding power, the Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo showcased at the 2017 New York Auto Show in the S Q4 guise, uses the Ferrari-built 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine tuned for 398bhp of power and 550Nm of torque.
The motor comes mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, and the All-Wheel Drive comes as a standard fitment. The Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo is capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 283km/h.
The Maserati Ghibli is already available in India, and it will be fascinating to see the Nerissimo edition makes its way to India, notably as the volumes are limited.
The Maserati Ghibli on sale in India comes powered by the 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine that produces 272bhp and 600Nm of torque. Apart from the Ghibli, Maserati also sells the bigger Quattroporte in India.
