BMW's flagship 7 Series has been voted the '2016 World Luxury Car' at the New York International Auto Show.
The newest generation of the 7 Series was launched in 2015. The luxury car uses a unique mix of carbon fibre reinforced plastic, aluminium and super high-strength steel to create a passenger cell that increases both overall torsion strength and bending stiffness while also reducing weight. Other brilliant technology cocooned inside the 7 series include the sky lounge sunroof, gesture control and wireless charging.
The 'World Car' jurors stated, "This is the flagship model for the Bavarian car maker, and so it simply has to be the epitome of what the brand represents in terms of technology, design and performance. And the new 7 Series certainly delivers. It is very much the new face of BMW in the new family design - and yet it is a classic BMW all at once."
The new BMW 7 series was launched in India at the 2016 Auto Expo and prices for the luxury limo start at Rs. 1.1 crores ex-showroom (Delhi).
