2016 EICMA Motor Show: BMW G310GS Unveiled
BMW Motorrad has unveiled the G310GS which will be manufactured in India at 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show.
German motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad has unveiled the all new G310GS at EICMA 2016 in Milan.
The G310GS is the adventure-tourer version of the G310R and will be manufactured at the TVS manufacturing facility in Hosur alongside the G310R.
Powering the G310GS is a single cylinder 313cc engine producing 33.5bhp @9,000rpm and 28Nm of torque @ 7,500rpm.
The engine which has a redline of 10,500rpm is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The BMW G310GS is 2,075mm long, 880mm wide and has a seat height of 835mm. The G310GS has a 1,420mm long wheelbase.
The new BMW G310GS ha a curb weight of 169.5 kilograms and has a 11-litre fuel tank.
The BMW G310GS features a tubular steel frame with a 41mm upside down fork at the front and monoshock at the rear handling the suspension duties.
To ensure the G310GS comes to a halt quickly, BMW has fitted a 330mm disc brake up front along with a 240mm disc at the rear end. The brakes are helped along by ABS.
Up front, the new G310GS sits on a 19-inch rim that is shod with a 110/80 R 19 tyre, while the 17-inch rear wheel sports a 150/70 R 17 tyre.
BMW Motorrad has not confirmed the price or when the new G310GS motorcycle will hit the streets.
