Ducati Unveils New Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Edition At EICMA — Images

Ducati has unveiled the Pikes Peak Edition of the Multistrada 1200 at EICMA*. This special edition is based on the 2015 Multistrada and is named after the iconic hill climb race, which is an annual automobile and motorcycle hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA

The Pikes Peak edition retains the twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 160bhp and 136Nm of torque. The motorcycle also features Ducati's Desmodromic Variable Timing system (DVT).

What sets the Multistrada Pikes Peak edition apart from the standard model are the fully adjustable (mechanically) Ohlins suspension at the front and rear, carbon fiber Termignoni muffler and windshield, and stripes on the three spoke wheels.

Also, the Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak edition can be kitted out with three packages: Touring Pack, Urban Pack, and Enduro Pack. The Touring Pack gets heated grips, saddlebags, and a center stand, while the Urban Pack gets a top case and a lockable tank bag with USB, while the Enduro Pack comes with LED lights, Touratech engine/ radiator crash bars, sump guard, wide kickstand base, and off-road footpegs. The Pikes Peak Multistrada 1200 is available only in a red and white race livery.
